Helping you understand your mind and move forward — with CBT for depression, anxiety, and everyday overwhelm.

About Me

Hi, I’m Gemma- a BABCP-accredited CBT therapist based in Essex, specialising in helping individuals overcome low self-esteem and the anxiety that often comes with it.

Through private Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), I support people who struggle with self-criticism, social anxiety, constant worry, and the exhausting cycle of avoidance and comparison. You might feel like you're not good enough, fear judgment from others, or find it difficult to speak up, say no, or trust your own decisions. These patterns are common - and CBT can help.

At Farmstead Therapy, my focus is on creating a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your experiences with honesty and without judgment. Together, we’ll work to understand the unhelpful beliefs and thinking patterns keeping you stuck, and develop practical tools to build confidence, reduce anxiety, and reconnect with your sense of self-worth.

Inspired by my rural roots and love of the countryside, my practice is grounded in warmth, acceptance, and the belief that meaningful change is possible. I offer online CBT sessions via Microsoft Teams, welcoming clients across Essex and the wider UK.
